My dad used to read me The Sporting News when I was an infant, and although I didn’t gain his love of sports, I did gain his love of reading! I have a to-read list that I don't think I'll ever find the bottom of, and I've always got my Kindle or a paperback near to hand.
I've been writing since I was in middle school. My early efforts varied from tragic love stories to horror. But when I discovered romance novels in junior high, I knew that I wanted to write them someday. My writing remained a hobby while I studied biology and forensic DNA science. I worked as a molecular biologist and published cancer research before finally leaving the lab and taking up my laptop.
I love all kinds of creative projects, including sewing, cross stitching, crocheting, and making jewelry for my business, Dragonfly Design. I also occasionally lend a hand at my favorite metaphysical store, 13 Magickal Moons of Occoquan, VA. In my spare time, I like to play games, especially The Sims 3, Bayonetta, and Rock Band, and watch too many reality television shows.
I currently live in Northern Virginia with my husband, John, of fifteen years. John works for the government during the day and also reads tarot professionally. I have three children who happen to be cats: Josephine, Morgana Madison, and Luna. Jo is a beautiful black Siamese mix (we think) who rules the house. MoMo, my first Scottish Fold, is very possessive of me and loves to knead my hair. Luna-Fish is the baby, an affectionate Scottish Fold who thinks her name is "Cute."
